Most Enginyers carried out a pathology inspection and a structural suitability assessment of industrial warehouses in Sant Vicenç dels Horts. The site visit identified slab deformation and heave, cracking and loss of levelness, as well as enclosure misalignments and signs of differential movement.


The assessment placed particular emphasis on the potential role of expansive clays, which can undergo significant volume change with moisture variations and lead to ground heave or settlement beneath the structures. Monitoring criteria and recommendations were defined to track movement over time and ensure the safe and functional operation of the facilities.
